Hi there, I’m Elizca.
For the past year and a half I’ve been part of the Impressionant team, after studying BSc Biological Sciences at the University of Pretoria.
Holy macaroon, what a journey it has been!
If I look back to who I was when I first started out and then look at who I am and where I am now, I have most certainly come a long way. I am way more confident on both my job and also who I am as a person.
When I am not at the office or at an event/wedding helping with setup or coordination, I am at home either spending time with my family or being silly with my boyfriend, Keanu, whom I have been dating for the past 3 years. He has been 1000% supporting me from high school tests all the way to where I am today, living out my passion as an events planner.
In my free time I like to improve my health and fitness by pumping some iron at the gym. If I’m not feeling that active or exemplary, I love making myself a bucket of popcorn and watch a good movie.
Of course my free time also involves aimlessly walking around in various malls until something catches my eye. And of course, no trip to Menlyn mall is complete until I’ve dropped by at Krispy Kreme for my all time favorite treat. 🍩
If I had to describe myself in one word, it would have to be ‘perfectionist’. For as long as I can remember, I have always paid great attention to detail and final touches. I believe that this is an awesome quality to possess as an events planner and can ultimately lead to pushing an event from great to “flipping” amazing.
My utmost favourite thing in the world is making people happy or at the very least putting a smile on someone’s face. That is exactly why events and wedding planning sets my heart on fire. Seeing the joy and extreme excitement on a person’s face gets me ecstatic. That is why I love what I do. I simply can’t imagine myself pursuing any other career and I still thank God for leading me to this one.
I am so excited for my future and for all the places I am trusting God to take me while fully and passionately chasing after my dreams as a young events planner.
I will end my story with a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt –
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”
